India is in the process of channeling its manpower in a systematic manner by launching world’s biggest citizen identity UID project.  As the database is huge, the investment on the project is also huge.  Government realizes that managing database in the hand of existing government working man force is a tougher task and opted for outsourcing to manage the database.

Even if the cost analysis of the company who will manage the database is not possible at this initial stage, still market will love it to own the stocks of these companies analysing who will be the winner.  It is undoubtly, whoever will win the major chunk of the project; the company will grow many folds at one lap.

There were 7 vendors IBM, HP, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, HCL Infosystems and Mahindra Satyam in the race after initial screening. Recently, two of the world’s largest technology companies, IBM and HP opted out of the bidding process for 2,000-crore outsourcing contract Aadhaar Project. After IBM and HP dropped out from the race, Accenture, Wipro, TCS, HCL Infosystems, and Mahindra Satyam will go to the next stage and begin negotiations with UID officials.

Out of the rest 5 companies in the fray, TCS, Wipro and Mahindra Satyam have advantage of experience. India is in the process of channeling its manpower in a systematic manner by launching world’s biggest citizen identity UID project.  As the database is huge, the investment on the project is also huge.  Government realizes that managing database in the hand of existing government working man force is a tougher task and opted for outsourcing to manage the database.
